When I first started working with Ashley about a year ago, I was struggling to get back on the exercise wagon after a year and a half of pandemic induced laziness. I was also ~8 months out from my wedding, which finally spurred me to find a trainer and get active again. We got to know each other a bit by phone first, and by the time our first session came around she had a full google slide deck with a custom workout plan for us. I was blown away! We've somehow managed to keep that going for a whole year and I could not be happier with the results. There are the obvious things like my strength and stamina improving, but beyond that Ashley has helped the gym feel less intimidating to me. I've learned how to deadlift, use free weights, stretch more effectively, etc. And not only is she one of the loveliest, most positive and motivational people you will ever meet, but she is also SO organized. She keeps our google doc fully updated with all of our workouts so that I can repeat them at home or while traveling. We have so much fun at our sessions (even when she is torturing me with burpees) and she's always got a killer playlist to keep us moving. And if training isn't for you, consider checking out her spin classes at the Y which are also a blast! I am so glad to have found Ashley and look forward to keeping our sessions going for as long as possible!
As a former athlete, I was determined to get back in shape. I especially wanted to develop my core to avoid having back problems in the future. Ashley helped me clarify my goals and offered a program that included an evaluation/consultation followed by a customized program. Because of the distance and my work schedule, we did the workout sessions over Zoom at 6 AM. I worked out in my living room for 30 to 45 minutes/day and had a session with Ashley 1 to 2 times per week. Ashley provided a detailed workout plan for each week, a tracking spreadsheet to monitor my progress and heart rate, and refresher videos to assist with the technique between sessions. I was a little sore the first week since I had not done any formal workouts in 30 years. About 2-3 weeks into the program, I noticed my energy level had improved significantly, and I generally felt better about myself. About 4 weeks in, I noticed my arm strength improving and by the time I finished the 8 weeks I had doubled the original weights I was using for the workouts. At the end of our 8-week program Ashley provided me with a plan to continue working out that included all the exercises we had done. She also recorded a few of our workout sessions for me to refer to in the future. Ashley was always cheerful and very positive, even considering it was 5 AM her time. She was always on time and kept us to a tight schedule to make sure we finished on time. When I needed follow-up support between sessions, she was very responsive and sent the additional instructions I needed until we could have our next Zoom workout. I would highly recommend Ashley. She is a true professional, knows what she is talking about and demonstrates a real desire to help you achieve your goals. She pays attention to your technique and heart rate and makes accurate corrections to ensure you are doing everything correctly and safely.

Ashley is attentive, energetic and eager to support your needs in training. She has listened and amended my workouts in the past for just what I've needed. She's pushed me when I needed it and helped me feel stronger and more confident. My sessions began with her right after the lockdown when I was feeling my most out of shape and vulnerable. Ashley did not judge, but was there to help me go from the very basics to sessions with heavier weights and plyometrics that make me feel like a warrior! Ashley is an excellent, certified, caring, and considerate personal trainer. She is a consummate professional. She has worked with me following the advice of my doctor regarding exercise for over a year. I have had heart problems in the past and was not exercising during COVID, as the gym was closed for much of that time. Since working with Ashley I have seen dramatic improvement in my strength, stamina, breathing, and flexibility. She is always prepared with a different routine that combines cardio and strength exercises. She takes time to show you each of the exercises in the routine and works with you to improve your form and the effectiveness of the exercise. She provides advice for exercise, diet, and rest between sessions. I know you will benefit from her training regime which is tailored to your needs, age, weight, and body type. Ashley has been incredible to work with. I had not worked out in earnest since spring 2020, prior to the birth of my first baby. I knew that I needed something incredibly accessible and specifically tailored to me in order to get back into the swing of things. Ashley has been the biggest blessing in both of those regards! She comes right to my house and has workouts that are perfect for my current level of strength and endurance. She is continually checking in with me to determine where we can make changes that might challenge me in different ways or work on areas of importance to me. Specifically, she has helped me work on my core and pelvic floor strength post having two babies. I've been impressed by the ways in which she has researched and come up with exercises to meet my needs! I'm so thankful to be on this exercise journey with her!
